Keightley Print Ltd has been trading on the shell for over 25 years. Fed up of working for others and with a little ‘madness’ as joint owner Adele Sidaway puts it, she and her husband David finally took the plunge into working for themselves.

One of Adele's first sales calls was to a company that promised them all their printing business if they could ‘come up with the goods’ the following day. Not only was the deadline a big challenge but the following day happened to be Christmas Eve! Needless to say ‘they did it’ and the company true to their word gave them their printing business.

Adele says what’s desperately needed on the Shell is “more parking which could be achieved by flattening some of the derelict shops” and “new build, the sort that attracts families and professionals.”

They tend not to advertise as most of their business comes from referrals and passing trade.
